A day in Al Kindi Hospital which was
looted after the bombing in Baghdad ended. The courageous work of hospital
staff working against the odds, saving and protecting lives in difficult
circumstances with limited resources, with no time to eat and rest properly,
even putting their own lives at risk.
People knifed while helping to defend neighbours under attack by looters.
A father looking at his son shot in a shoot out in the street. A mother
waiting in the corridor for news of her son. A father who collapsed from
the stress of seeing his life in chaos around him. A mother comforting her
son who lost a leg. The happiness of a son and father who survived the attack
of looters. A 16 year old boy blown up by a hand grenade thrown by US soldiers
because his donkey didn't stop at a checkpoint. .
